"Historic Mae Avenue"
MAP
The houses on Mae Avenue were built after World War II in 1945 in a new subdivision named "Heights". Most of the houses on the North side were 3 bedroom, 1 bath, 1 car garage. They varied in floor plans, fascades, roof type and color. On the contrary, the houses on the South side had 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, 1 car garage. The floor plans, roofs were virtually identical. The fascades varied slightly with the porch type and enterance. They were painted white with a alternating color trim and roof: blue, green, brown, red, and grey. Prices were around $10,000..
The following sketch of the Mae Avenue residents was loosely frozen at about 1960. This gives time for stabalization, children to be born and families to develop.
